Integrative Wellness

The benefits of a holistic and integrative approach are too unfathomable not to try and share with the world.

‘Western medicine may not have all the answers, which is why a holistic and integrative approach is crucial in your journey to better health’.

Naturopathy

Focussed on treating the cause rather than the symptom. Drawing on treatment methods from several traditional systems of healthcare. In conjunction with a scientific approach, Naturopathy seeks to use herbal medicine to encourage the body to cure itself, using a holistic framework that factors in diet, lifestyle, and nutrition.

Homeopathy

A scientific system of medicine developed by German doctor and chemist, Dr. Samuel Kristian Hahnemann over 200 years ago, (1755-1843)

This system of medicine is based on the principle "Law of Similars” which means that a substance that can produce certain symptoms in a healthy person can be used in very small amounts to relieve the same or similar symptoms in a sick person while stimulating your body's healing response. In Homoeopathy everyone is treated as a unique person and their individual physical & emotional wellbeing is considered when selecting the most appropriate medicine and its strength.

Homeopathic medicines are obtained from plant, mineral, and microbiological sources. They are prepared according to the strict guidelines and under control of TGA and they go through specific processes where they become active, safe, and non-addictive, without side effects yet energetic with powerful healing properties.

Acupuncture / Chinese Medicine

Often used to treat internal ailments, including chronic pain, musculoskeletal injuries, stress, insomnia, digestive problems, fertility issues etc.

Acupuncture is based on the idea of balance and works on a restorative approach, ensuring proper flow of energy throughout the body. Using tiny micro needles to apply to specific points along the meridian lines, representing the body’s organs.

Focusing on increasing the flow of our ‘Qi’ (chee), energy flow, responsible for overall health & wellbeing.

Usually combined with prescription of certain Chinese herbs, Chinese dietary therapy, lifestyle changes, and practitioner only supplements, based on your symptoms and/or blood work results, interpreted under specific Chinese medicine guidelines/test ranges.

Ayurveda

“The most ancient form of medicine, has so much to teach us.  Knowing your unique Ayruvedic body type ‘Dosha’ allows you to look at yourself in a much gentler and accepting way”. – Dr. Stephen Cabral.

Originating from India, Ayurveda focusses on carefully balancing our bodily systems. In ‘Ayurvedic’ terms there are three principal energies of the body: energy of movement ‘Vata’, energy of digestion/metabolism ‘pitta’, and energy of lubrication and structure, Kapha’. Treatment involves a combination of certain lifestyle interventions, including looking at individual diet, use of herbs, plants, oils, spices, and natural therapies such as yoga, massage, and meditation.
